New York City-based duo Couch Prints have dropped their huge new single, ‘Waterfall’. It’s a shoegaze-inspired track that draws on the works of Tricky and Björk, for example, that leads into its dreamy textures. Warm analogue synths guide the opening moments of the track, before an airy lead vocal takes us in a more melodic, almost danceable direction. Bassist Brandon Tong describes the track as being “about time as a waterfall, and our lived experience underneath it. A place that can at once be suffocatingly immediate and refreshingly infinite.” Their new six-track EP, also called Waterfall, dropped on September 23rd, 2022. Check it out. -Dan Peeke.
